When the National Tax Tribunal has received a complaint the tribunal will obtain all relevant information including supplementary information from you, your representative or the local authority if needed. Once an employee of the tribunal has prepared the case, it is forwarded to the tribunal members for written consideration. When a decision is reached, the National Tax Tribunal sends its decision to you and your representative, if you have one. During this procedure, it is possible to discuss the case in person, i.e. to talk about the case and any particular questions or details with the tribunal employee attached to your case – either by telephone, at the tribunal’s offices in Copenhagen or, in special cases, locally.
It is also possible to request a court sitting if you wish to present your case orally to the members of the tribunal. A court sitting will extend the case processing time, and the tribunal may decline your request.
According to the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data (Persondataloven), you have the right to have any incorrect or misleading information corrected which the National Tax Tribunal has registered in its databases in connection with the handling of the case.
